I am an PhD student in Applied Mathematics currently working at the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT). I am part of the research groups Collaborative Research Center (CRC) 1173,
funded by the Deutsche Forschungs Gemeinschaft (DFG), and Computational Science and Mathematical Methods (CSMM). My work is focused on developing computationally efficient numerical algorithms that capture varying behaviours of the thermal radiative transfer. Additionally, I also focus on developing new methods for quantifying uncertainties in these systems based on exploiting underlying structures.
I am committed to the idea of making scientific knowledge available to the public and one can find a selection of my publications, talks and software below.
News
March 03, 2025 - March 07, 2025 - SIAM CSE 2025, USA
I had the opportunity to attend and speak at SIAM CSE 2025 in Fort Worth, Texas — a fantastic gathering of experts in computational science and engineering. It was an honor to present my talk, "On Asymptotic-Preserving Dynamical Low-Rank Approximation for Thermal Radiative Transfer", and to connect with so many inspiring researchers and practitioners pushing the boundaries of CSE. Looking forward to continued collaboration and future conversations!
July 15, 2024 - July 19, 2024 - SciCADE 2024, Singapore
This July I travelled to Singapore to give a talk at the SciCADE 2024. I gave a talk titled "A multi-scale low-rank integrator for Marshak waves" which was well recieved by the audience and invited some interesting questions. It was a great experience to learn about the recent advances in the world of differential equations and scientific computing.
March 18, 2024 - March 22, 2024 - 94th annual meeting GAMM
This March I travelled to Magdeburg to give my first talk at the 94th Annual Meeting of GAMM. I gave a talk titled "Multi-scale low-rank approximation for radiative heat transfer" which was well recieved by the audience and invited some interesting questions. Eventhough I had to cut short the conference due to other obligations it was a great time discussing DLRA with young researchers from around the world.
May 22, 2023 - May 24, 2023 - DLRA: New horizons workshop
Together with my colleagues Pia Stammer and Steffen Schotthöfer, I travelled to Lausanne to attend the "Dynamical low-rank approximation: New horizons" workshop. The workshop provided a great platform and atmosphere for discussing the upcoming dynamical low-rank approximation. The cherry on top was the opportunty to speak with the authors of the first papers on the topic. I thank Jonas Kusch and Gianluca Cerutti, two excellent researchers on the topic, for organising this lovely workshop.
